Since setting up my grading suite, I’ve wanted to fill the empty wall behind the client couch with posters from my past projects. So when Renoir director Chie Hayakawa and director of photography Hideho Urata gifted me this giant French version of the film’s poster, it felt like a fitting tribute to the days spent grading it right here in this room.
The poster is dry mounted – pasted to a backing board to flatten the creases, since it was originally folded – and uses anti-reflective glass for the glazing. Framing it is a thicker wooden frame for this poster size (158 x 116cm), and installed hanging from an ArtiTeq wall track.
Where my wall once felt like an empty space, it now feels complete: a daily reminder of the stories I have the privilege to elevate in this room.
