Heartbeats is the first-ever micro drama for NDP. Leading up to a neighbourhood performance for National Day, it follows Juraidah, a young woman who has a past trauma holding her back from performing at the concert, and Anand, her childhood friend convincing her to try.
I worked with DP Clement in enhancing the anamorphic lensed footage, elevating the contrast and colourfulness while softening it out with glow effects to suit the glitz of the musical sequences. I further finetuned the balance with director Raja, taking care of course to enhance our national colours, red and white.
